This meeting was part of a ‘Red Study Tour’ involving the visiting General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam, To Lam.
In his speech, Xi emphasized that the youth are a vital force for societal development, expressing hope for continued collaboration between China and Vietnam. He urged the young people of both nations to support each other, fulfill their duties with courage, and take the lead in building a community with a shared future for humanity.
To Lam highlighted that the youth serve as an essential bridge between the two parties and countries. He expressed optimism that the young people would deepen their understanding of Vietnam-China relations and play a crucial role in the development of their respective nations and the friendship between the two countries.
It is noteworthy that Xi announced the ‘Red Study Tour’ during his visit to Vietnam last April, aimed at encouraging the youth of both nations to emulate the revolutionary footprints of the older generation of leaders. This initiative seeks to gather youthful energy for the China-Vietnam community with a shared future.
