CPPCC National Committee Concludes 15th Meeting of 14th Standing Committee

Beijing, March 4: The 15th meeting of the 14th Standing Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) concluded on March 2 in Beijing. The session was chaired by Wang Huning, the Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, who also delivered a speech.

Wang Huning emphasized that over the past year, the CPPCC National Committee has maintained a combination of party leadership, the united front, and consultative democracy. He highlighted the importance of regular study and training on the party’s new theories. The committee has worked diligently, closely monitoring the overall situation and taking responsibility. Improvements have been made to the CPPCC’s operational systems and mechanisms, enhancing work methods through regular and long-term strategies. This has led to new progress and achievements in all aspects of its work.

Looking ahead to 2026, Wang Huning stated that the CPPCC must adhere to Xi Jinping’s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics for a new era. The committee is tasked with promoting advice and suggestions for the implementation of the 15th Five-Year Plan, aiming to gather public support, consensus, understanding, and strength for a strong start to the plan.
