Congress Leader Criticizes BJPs Claims on Rally Success in Delhi
Prominent Congress leader Pramod Tiwari defends the success of the India Alliance rally in Delhi against BJPs claims of it being a flop.

New Delhi, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Senior Congress leader and Rajya Sabha MP Pramod Tiwari has strongly rebutted claims by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) that the India Alliance rally at Ramleela Maidan was a “flop show.” Speaking in New Delhi, Tiwari accused the BJP of spreading falsehoods and misleading the public.
Tiwari stated, “There is no party more deceitful, misleading, and shameless than the BJP. The media has shown live coverage that the crowd inside the ground was matched by an even larger number outside. When Rahul Gandhi and leaders of the India Alliance marched, both sides of the roads were filled with people.”
He emphasized that even opponents now acknowledge the rally’s overwhelming success. “If you ask the common people, the truth will emerge. The BJP’s capacity for lying is beyond measure. To label such a historic rally as a flop is absurd,” he added.
Tiwari described the event as possibly the most successful rally since independence. “I urge you not to focus solely on the numbers but on the spirit present there. The singular resolve was to remove a corrupt party that undermines democracy and to bring a party that respects the Constitution to power,” he remarked.
He reiterated Rahul Gandhi’s assertion that the BJP will not escape accountability for its actions. “They must answer for their crimes here, whether in Delhi or Gujarat. The way democracy has been undermined and votes stolen must be addressed. Rahul Gandhi clearly stated that PM Modi became Prime Minister through vote theft, and he must answer for that,” Tiwari stated.
Responding to Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s remarks about over a million Hindu votes being cut from the electoral rolls, Tiwari quipped that Adityanath seems to be a new supporter of Rahul Gandhi. “He acknowledges that a million Hindu voters have been removed from the list. Is he preparing an excuse for the impending defeat in 2027?” he questioned.
Tiwari also reacted to allegations by two rebel MLAs from the Aam Aadmi Party regarding the Bhagwant Mann government’s failure to fulfill promises of a drug-free Punjab. He likened their departure to jumping from a sinking ship, stating, “An old saying goes that when a ship begins to sink, passengers jump off first. That’s what we are witnessing in Punjab.”
