Locket Chatterjee Criticizes Mamata Banerjees Political Downfall
BJP leader Locket Chatterjee slams Mamata Banerjee, claiming her political decline is evident as she aligns with unlikely allies.

Kolkata, November 2 (Daily Kiran) : Locket Chatterjee, a prominent leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and former MP, has sharply criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, suggesting that her political stature has diminished significantly. Speaking at the “Save Democracy, Remove Anarchy” rally, Chatterjee remarked that Banerjee, who once proudly referred to herself as the “Royal Bengal Tiger,” now appears desperate.
Chatterjee highlighted the presence of BJP National President Nitin Nabin at the rally, emphasizing the party’s nationwide efforts to protect democracy. “Our national president held an event in Haryana on Sunday and will be in Bhagalpur later today. We urge everyone to rise above politics and unite against anti-national forces,” she stated.
The BJP leader expressed concern over Banerjee’s current political alliances, noting that she has even allied with parties she once disparaged. “It’s quite evident that she has nothing left. The same person who once called herself a tiger is now compromising with the ‘Cockroach Party.’ This shows her desperation and the decline of her once-powerful government,” Chatterjee said.
She further asserted that the BJP is committed to a march for democracy, emphasizing the need for collective action to secure India’s future and the safety of its children. Chatterjee reflected on Banerjee’s shifting views towards the Congress party, pointing out her recent respectful references to their leaders, which she likened to changing seasons.
Chatterjee criticized the Trinamool Congress (TMC) for lacking a clear ideology and stable policies, claiming their strategies change with every political season. “They have no options left; their party is nearly broken,” she noted, lamenting that Banerjee, once a chief minister, should now take a step back.
She accused Banerjee of perpetuating divisive politics and fostering an environment of discrimination against the Hindu community. “While there may be less overt discrimination today, her history of appeasement politics remains,” Chatterjee asserted.
In response to Nitin Nabin’s comments, Chatterjee expressed optimism for a new era devoid of corruption. She assured that future film festivals would be organized transparently, allowing only deserving talent to shine. “We will ensure that no syndicate influences these events,” she concluded.
