Congress Accused of Demographic Manipulation for Muslim Votes: Sanjay Nirupam

Mumbai, May 5: Shiv Sena leader and spokesperson Sanjay Nirupam has reacted to the recent assembly election results, attributing the BJP’s significant victory in Assam to illegal immigration. He leveled serious accusations against the Congress party, claiming it has been promoting Bangladeshi infiltrators for years.

In an interview, Nirupam stated, “The main issue in Assam is infiltration, particularly from Bangladesh. This has been altering the demographic balance of the entire region. The Congress party has treated this as a spectacle for years, compromising on these issues for a few Muslim votes. In response, the people of Assam have protested vigorously, and the Hindu community has united.”

He criticized opposition leaders, noting that after every electoral defeat, figures like Rahul Gandhi or Mamata Banerjee allege vote theft and fraud without evidence. Nirupam remarked, “In reality, the mindset of the country is changing. People are tired of minority appeasement and campaigns against the majority community under the guise of ‘secular politics.’”

Addressing international issues, Nirupam expressed concern over the ongoing tensions between Iran and the United States. He said, “There is much discussion about war and peace efforts between Iran and the U.S., but what is the truth? Sometimes it seems even Trump is not fully informed. He talks about peace in the morning and threatens bombing in the evening. Recently, he claimed to have destroyed seven Iranian boats in the Strait of Hormuz, a crucial route for our oil tankers.”

Nirupam praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, stating that the recent election results reflect the growing support for him. He urged the minority community to join the mainstream and embrace development-oriented politics.

The Shiv Sena leader advised Congress to seriously reconsider its policies. Instead of uniting the opposition, he suggested they engage in self-reflection.
