Beijing, February 17: The China Media Group (CMG) presented its 2026 Spring Festival Gala on the evening of February 16. This event seamlessly integrated culture with technology, allowing audiences worldwide to celebrate the Chinese New Year.
Initial data indicates that by midnight on February 16, the live broadcast of the gala reached 677 million users across all media platforms and was aired by approximately 4,000 media outlets internationally.
This year’s Spring Festival Gala drew significant inspiration from traditional Chinese culture. The creative singing show “Celebrating the Flower Goddess” featured songs and dance performances that immersed the audience in the rhythm of changing seasons and the allure of the East.
The dance program “Charm of the Ancient Silk Road” showcased the art of ancient murals on stage, taking viewers on a journey along the Silk Road through its beautiful gestures.
In the martial arts segment “Kung Fu Robots,” a robot transforms into a “Martial Arts Master.” The song “Intelligent Manufacturing Future” narrates a splendid life intertwined with future technology. A skit titled “Grandma’s Favorite” focuses on scenes depicting a robot’s involvement in family life.
Additionally, artists from the United States, France, Ireland, Spain, Hungary, and Austria presented songs, dances, acrobatics, and other performances.
