
Lucknow, March 22: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has set a record for the longest tenure as the head of government in Indian political history. On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath extended his congratulations, stating that this historic achievement, dedicated to building a ‘developed India,’ is a powerful symbol of unwavering public trust in PM Modi.
In a post on the social media platform ‘X’ on Sunday, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath wrote, “Heartfelt congratulations to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for becoming the longest-serving head of government in India, dedicated to the happiness, prosperity, and satisfaction of 1.45 billion Indians.”
He further added, “This historic milestone, dedicated to the construction of a ‘developed India,’ is a strong symbol of unwavering public trust in you. Under your illustrious leadership, the concept of ‘Antyodaya to Rashtroday’ is taking shape, illuminated by the spirit of ‘Nation First.’ Following the path of ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas, Sabka Prayas,’ India has established new dimensions of development, good governance, and global prestige.”
At the end of his post, CM Yogi prayed to Lord Ram for PM Modi’s continued leadership, wishing for India to progress, prosper, and thrive.
Earlier, Amit Malviya, head of the IT cell of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), posted, “Today marks a historic milestone in Indian politics. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has surpassed former Sikkim Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling to set the record for the longest tenure as head of government in India.”
Amit Malviya noted, “Pawan Kumar Chamling served for 8,930 days as Chief Minister. PM Modi has now completed 8,931 days in public office as the head of government, including his tenure as Chief Minister of Gujarat and now as Prime Minister. This is a rare and extraordinary achievement that reflects decades of continuous public service and leadership.”
He highlighted PM Modi’s accomplishments, stating, “He has been the longest-serving Chief Minister of Gujarat and possesses the most extensive prior experience as a Chief Minister. He is the first Prime Minister born after independence and has won three consecutive Lok Sabha elections (2014, 2019, and 2024). This milestone underscores determination, experience, and continuous public support.”
