New Delhi, March 5: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has instructed district administrations to maintain contact with families of students and citizens residing in Gulf countries, given the current situation there.
The Chief Minister emphasized the need for support by establishing control rooms at Madhya Pradesh Bhawan in New Delhi and Vallabh Bhawan (state secretariat) in Bhopal. During a meeting with senior administrative officials, he directed district collectors to ensure ongoing coordination and communication with affected individuals and their families at the district level.
Yadav also mentioned that Madhya Pradesh athlete Priyanshi Prajapat, who traveled to Tirana, Albania, to participate in the World Wrestling Championship ranking series, has safely returned home to Ujjain. On Thursday, he spoke with Priyanshi’s family via video call.
Priyanshi won her match on February 26 during the wrestling competition held in Albania from February 24 to 28. She delivered an impressive performance by defeating wrestlers from Kazakhstan, the United States, and Albania.
Last year, she also made headlines by winning a gold medal at the Asian Series, bringing pride to both the country and the state. It is noteworthy that due to escalating tensions in the Middle East-Asia region, Priyanshi and other athletes had recently found themselves trapped there. During this challenging time, CM Yadav ensured that all necessary measures were in place for the athlete’s safe return.
Former BJP MLA Sanjay Shukla from Indore and others who were stranded in the United Arab Emirates due to ongoing conflicts in West Asia returned home on Tuesday. Sharing his experience, Shukla informed reporters that they were stuck in Dubai due to flight disruptions. However, the Dubai administration provided adequate arrangements for accommodation and meals for those stranded.
