CM Fadnavis Ready for Election Campaigns Across States

Nagpur, March 30: Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis inaugurated the 69th All India Police Duty Meet 2025-26 in Nagpur. During a media interaction, he indicated plans to campaign in various states ahead of elections in five states and a Union Territory. He stated he is prepared to go wherever the party assigns responsibilities. Currently, he has been tasked with campaigning in Assam and Kerala.

Fadnavis also clarified that it is not the right time to comment on the potential merger of the Nationalist Congress Party. He mentioned that only party president Supriya Sule can provide a final opinion on this matter, making it inappropriate for him to respond.

Additionally, he shared insights about the ongoing 69th All India Police Duty Meet, hosted by the Maharashtra Police. He expressed pride in Nagpur being selected for this prestigious event, which facilitates the exchange of experiences among police forces from across the country through dog squads, modern policing techniques, and other professional competitions.

This event holds historical significance, as it was first held in this city nearly 69 years ago. Approximately 1,300 police officers from 29 states and Union Territories are participating this year. The program commenced on Sunday and will conclude on April 3.

Addressing rumors regarding a shortage of petrol and diesel, the Chief Minister took a firm stance, assuring that the state has sufficient fuel reserves and there is no need for panic. He recalled previous instances when long queues formed, and the government had clarified the situation, but some individuals spread rumors. Action has now been initiated against such elements to maintain normalcy.

When questioned about the investigation into the Ashok Kharat case, the Chief Minister stated he has no current information regarding the summons issued to Rupali Chakanakar. He assured that the investigation is ongoing in a fair manner, and detailed information will be shared at the appropriate time, as it is not feasible to provide daily updates.
