Cleanliness Over Non-Vegetarian Ban: Shyam Rajaks Perspective

Patna, July 15: JDU legislator Shyam Rajak has shared his views on various issues, including the ban on non-vegetarian food at the King George Medical University hostel, Amir Khan’s third marriage, the inclusion of Muslim castes in the backward classes list in West Bengal, and matters related to RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav.

In a conversation with a news agency, Rajak emphasized that the primary responsibility of the college administration is to maintain cleanliness and order before imposing a ban on non-vegetarian meals. He asserted that if there are cleanliness issues, those responsible should face consequences. However, he noted that if a decision is made to provide only vegetarian food for health or other reasons, it can be justified. He mentioned that the chancellor of universities has the authority to make such decisions.

Responding to Maharashtra Minister Nitesh Rane’s comments on Amir Khan’s third marriage, Rajak defended the actor. He stated that a person’s patriotism should not be judged based on their personal life. He argued that marrying three times does not indicate that someone is anti-national. A person’s commitment to the country and their actions define their identity.

Rajak highlighted that Amir Khan has consistently demonstrated his responsibility towards the nation and sensitivity to social issues. He remarked that questioning someone’s patriotism without solid evidence is inappropriate. If anyone possesses evidence against Khan, it should be made public.

On the issue of including 17 Muslim castes in West Bengal’s backward classes list, Rajak expressed concern over the politics of dividing society based on religion. He stated that the biggest problem for the country is that every issue is now viewed through a religious lens. This creates a negative social atmosphere and increases distances among people.

Regarding the Supreme Court‘s directive for a six-month hearing on the case involving RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav, Rajak welcomed the decision. He noted that the case has been pending for a long time and that the court’s directive is appropriate. He stressed that cases should be resolved promptly to uncover the truth. He also clarified that granting or denying bail is the judiciary’s prerogative, and political leaders should not interfere in such matters.
