
Beijing, March 22: A significant agricultural production conference linked to the spring season was held on March 20 in Chaozhou, Hunan Province. Chinese Premier Li Qiang recently issued crucial directives, stating that this year marks the first of the 15th Five-Year Plan. Therefore, advancing agricultural, rural, and farmer-related initiatives is vital to ensure the production of grains and crops throughout the year.
He emphasized that government departments across various sectors must maintain a stable and secure supply of key agricultural products to lay a strong foundation for the 15th Five-Year Plan.
During the conference, Chinese Vice Premier Liu Guochong addressed attendees, stressing the need to carry out agricultural production tasks with dedication and diligence. He highlighted the importance of effectively implementing all supportive policies to stabilize grain sowing areas and strengthen agricultural supply stability. Additionally, he noted that maintaining employment for farmer workers is a crucial responsibility while promoting rural revitalization.
Before the conference, Liu Guochong visited Xuchang and Chaozhou in Hunan Province. During his visit, he conducted a comprehensive survey of the winter wheat crop conditions, technologies being adopted to increase production, agricultural machinery service systems, and the status of agricultural supplies.
