China Walk: Vibrant Hainan Media Interview Program Kicks Off in Sanya

The China Walk: Vibrant Hainan media program has begun in Sanya, focusing on rural revitalization and trade cooperation with ASEAN nations.

Sanya, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : A new media interview program titled “China Walk: Vibrant Hainan” has commenced in Sanya, Hainan Province. This initiative is organized by the Asia-Africa Language Center under the China Media Group (CMG) and aims to foster dialogue between Chinese and foreign media.

The focus of this year’s program is on rural revitalization within a free trade port context. Journalists from 11 media organizations across eight ASEAN countries, including Cambodia, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, Myanmar, Thailand, Timor-Leste, and Vietnam, have been invited to participate. They will share stories of mutual cooperation between China and ASEAN related to the development of the Hainan Free Trade Port and rural revitalization efforts.

Notably, this year marks the first anniversary of the island-wide special customs operations at the Hainan Free Trade Port. It also commemorates the 35th anniversary of the establishment of dialogue relations between China and ASEAN, alongside the fifth anniversary of the China-ASEAN Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.

The interview team will explore various regions, including Sanya, Wuzhishan, and Ling Shui, from October 19 to 24. Their itinerary includes assessing tropical resources, specialized industries, environmental protection, improvements in people’s livelihoods, and experiences in rural governance.
