Lianyungang, September 10 (Daily Kiran) : A recent conference held in Lianyungang, Jiangsu Province, unveiled the “Global Public Safety Index Report (2025-2026).” This event, organized by the Global Public Safety Cooperation Forum, highlighted the quantitative assessment of public safety across various nations using a 100-point scale. A higher score indicates better public safety conditions in a country.
This year’s index has expanded its research scope, including 62 targeted countries. These nations represent 82.73% of the world’s population, 75.22% of land area, and 87.47% of total economic output, ensuring comprehensive data coverage and strong representation. Based on this data, 20 countries with high levels of safety governance were selected, and their scores were released.
According to the report, the average public safety index score for the 62 countries in 2026 is projected to be 72.56, reflecting a slight increase from the previous year. Among these, ten countries, including China, Singapore, and Uzbekistan, achieved scores of 80 or higher. China topped the list with a public safety index score of 84.62.
This ranking underscores China’s ongoing commitment to enhancing its public safety measures and governance practices.
