Pali, June 21: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma visited the Rural Service Camp held at the Government Higher Secondary School in Netra, Sumerpur, on Saturday. During his visit, he reviewed various departmental stalls, interacted directly with beneficiaries, and gathered feedback on the services provided at the camp. The Chief Minister also distributed land leases to eligible individuals, enabling them to benefit from various government schemes.
Sharma emphasized that the state government is organizing rural and urban service camps across the state to provide relief to the general public. These camps aim to ensure that farmers, laborers, the poor, the disabled, women, and other needy sections of society can access government benefits. He noted that the rectification of documents and the resolution of pending cases are paving the way for eligible individuals to receive these benefits.
He highlighted that important tasks are being carried out at the camps, including name rectification, name transfers, resolution of disputes related to roads, and the settlement of cases under the National Food Security Act (NFSA), along with pension verification. Additionally, farmers are being provided with soil testing, seed mini-kits, and saplings of fruit-bearing trees, which will help enhance agricultural production and income.
The Chief Minister also mentioned the initiatives of the Health and Medical Department, stating that villagers are receiving health services through these camps. Furthermore, livestock owners are offered health check-ups and treatment for their animals. He urged villagers to be aware and take full advantage of these camps.
As an example of name rectification, the Chief Minister shared the case of a farmer whose name was recorded as ‘Oot Singh’ in the land records, while other documents listed it as ‘Arjun Singh.’ Due to this error, the farmer was unable to benefit from schemes like the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi. With the correction made at the camp, he will now be eligible for all applicable schemes.
During the event, the Chief Minister distributed leases to individuals including Hazaram, Bhairaram, and Mangilal under the nomadic and semi-nomadic category. Ajju Devi received a certificate for the regularization of her old home, and Kapooraram was granted a lease at a subsidized rate.
