Beijing, March 22: The countdown has officially begun for the 33rd Winter Universiade 2027, set to take place in Changchun, China. On this milestone, the event unveiled its motto, logo, and mascot.
The motto for the Changchun Winter Universiade is “Igniting Dreams, Uniting Youth.” This phrase aims to connect the world through youthful enthusiasm, build bridges of friendship for the future, and allow the power of youth to shine brightly during this grand winter sports event.
Scheduled from March 15 to 25, 2027, the main venue will be in Changchun, with a sub-venue in Jilin City.
This event symbolizes the return of a major winter sports competition to China, following the 24th Winter Universiade held in Harbin in 2009. It also marks another significant international winter sports event hosted by China after the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics and the 2025 Harbin Asian Winter Games.
