Central Minister Scindia Announces Improved Road Network for Kurila Dham

Central Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia unveils plans for enhanced road connectivity to Kurila Dham, boosting religious tourism and local development.

Ashok Nagar, October 16 (Daily Kiran) : Central Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia recently announced plans to enhance the road network connecting Kurila Dham, a significant pilgrimage site in Madhya Pradesh‘s Guna parliamentary constituency. Speaking at a tribal conference in Ashok Nagar, he emphasized the development of Kurila Dham into a prominent cultural and religious hub, referred to as “Kurila Dham Lok.”

Scindia highlighted that Kurila Dham, which attracts millions of devotees, will receive a grand transformation. This initiative aims not only to elevate the site’s religious and cultural stature but also to promote religious tourism in the region. To facilitate easier access for pilgrims from nearby areas, including Chanderi, Ashok Nagar, and Mungavali, improvements to the road infrastructure are underway.

He stated that centers of faith like Kurila Dham are vital symbols of cultural heritage. Enhancing facilities and accessibility to such sites is crucial for regional development. The minister noted that the government has approved ₹100 crore for constructing a nearly 50-kilometer road from Shadhora to Kurila Dham. This upgraded connectivity will benefit not only pilgrims but also local residents, easing travel during religious events and stimulating economic and tourism activities in the area.

Additionally, Scindia announced the construction of a community building and a tin shed at Shabari Ashram, funded by local MLA funds at a cost of ₹50 lakh. The community building will provide a venue for social, cultural, and communal events, while the tin shed will offer convenience during various gatherings. These initiatives are expected to significantly enhance local infrastructure and community engagement.
