Amsterdam, April 20: Casio Edifice is gearing up to launch the EQB-1300 series in Europe. The new models are now available on Casio’s official online stores in countries such as the Netherlands, Spain, and Germany. This series features three distinct variants: EQB-1300D-2A (blue dial), EQB-1300D-5A (brown dial), and EQB-1300DC-3A (green dial). These watches were previously hinted at in leaks last month.
The EQB-1300 is an analog watch designed with a slim profile, measuring 46.5 x 39.5 x 9.5 mm. It boasts a three-hand layout, a date window, a day indicator, and a 24-hour subdial. Additional features include a 1-second stopwatch, a full auto calendar, and low battery alerts. The watch is water-resistant up to 100 meters and is safeguarded by sapphire crystal.
Bluetooth connectivity allows the watch to pair with the Casio Watches app on smartphones. Once connected, it can automatically sync time, adjust for daylight saving, and provide features like Phone Finder and Time and Place. Most settings can be managed directly through the app.
The watch operates on Casio’s Tough Solar system, which harnesses both sunlight and indoor light to generate power. This feature ensures the watch runs continuously without the need for frequent charging or battery replacements.
In terms of construction, the EQB-1300 features a robust stainless steel case and an H-link bracelet. The links exhibit a blend of brushed and polished finishes, while the triple-fold clasp is also crafted from steel. The case design incorporates curved lines and a mix of mirror and hairline finishes on the bezel, resulting in a sleek, refined appearance.
The dial showcases a textured finish with metallic hues inspired by car interiors. It utilizes raised indices and layered subdials, with inset elements positioned on the same plane as the main dial, adding depth without overwhelming the design.
Regarding pricing, the EQB-1300D-2A and EQB-1300D-5A are listed at €279, while the EQB-1300DC-3A is priced at €329 due to its ion-plated finish. All three models are currently marked as “coming soon” on Casio’s European stores, with no confirmed release date yet.
