Mumbai, February 20: The tragic death of former Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar has sparked political controversy. NCP leader Anand Paranjape has emphasized the need for a thorough investigation into the plane crash that claimed Pawar’s life. He stated that both he and his party have been demanding a complete inquiry since the incident occurred.
Ajit Pawar‘s aircraft crashed suddenly in Baramati, Pune, resulting in the deaths of five individuals, including Pawar, the pilot, and crew members. Following the crash, political discussions have intensified, with Pawar’s family and party members calling for a CBI investigation.
In a recent conversation, Anand Paranjape remarked, “From day one, we have been advocating for an investigation into the plane crash. On the day of the incident, Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia and Murli Deora visited Baramati and mentioned that the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau would conduct an inquiry. Subsequently, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced a CID investigation. A few days ago, Praful Patel, Sunetra Pawar, and Sunil Tatkare met with the Chief Minister to demand a CBI inquiry into the crash.”
The NCP spokesperson added, “We are persistently requesting a comprehensive review of the aircraft company VSR’s track record, including investigations before and after the crash. Ajit Pawar’s nephew, Rohit Pawar, also has the right to make such demands and raise questions. However, politicizing this tragic incident is unacceptable.”
