Mumbai, 2 January. The much-awaited song ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ from the film ‘Border-2’, starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, Diljit Dosanjh, and Ahan Shetty, has been released in audio format only.
The release was announced by Ahan Shetty and Manoj Muntashir. Actor Ahan expressed that with this song, he is following in his father’s footsteps.
The song ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ was released on Anu Malik’s YouTube channel. The audio features voices of Sonu Nigam, Arijit Singh, Diljit Dosanjh, and Vishal Mishra. While the lyrics and music have been changed completely, some tunes from the original song have been retained to preserve its essence. The 10-minute song touches upon themes ranging from the soil of the nation to the forehead’s bindi.
The new version of ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’ has received mixed reviews and faces the challenge of living up to the original ‘Sandese Aate Hain’ song. The original was sung by Sonu Nigam and Roop Singh Rathore and was known for its high-pitched, emotional intensity. The current version is softer and emotional but does not match the original’s impact.
Ahan Shetty shared an emotional post on the release, reflecting on his father Suniel Shetty’s connection to the original song and film. Posting a photo with his father, he wrote, “They say a picture is worth a thousand words, but I have no words to express this. I just know what’s in my heart. I grew up seeing my father as part of ‘Sandese Aate Hain’. Today, I am part of ‘Ghar Kab Aaoge’.”
He further added that this is not just about a song or project but about time, love, and the silent gratitude he will always carry. He described the song as one that captures the unspoken emotions of every soldier and the silent prayers of families waiting at home.
