Gopalganj, May 1: A young man’s body was discovered hanging in a temple in the Shankar Pur village of Gopalganj district, Bihar. This incident has caused widespread panic in the area. The deceased has been identified as 20-year-old Rohan Kumar, the son of Ranjit Singh.
Reports indicate that Rohan left home on Thursday evening to attend a wedding. When he did not return late that night, his family began searching for him. On Friday morning, his body was found hanging in a temple located outside the village. The sight of the body attracted a crowd of onlookers.
Upon receiving the information, the police arrived at the scene. They took possession of the body and sent it to the Sadar Hospital for an autopsy. A team from the Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) has also been called to gather evidence and investigate the case thoroughly.
Sadar SDPO Rajesh Kumar stated that the young man had committed suicide by hanging. However, the police are examining all aspects of the case, investigating both murder and suicide possibilities. They are questioning Rohan’s family and locals to determine what happened after he left the wedding.
The incident has sparked considerable discussion among local residents. Some believe it to be suicide, while others express doubts. The police have indicated that a clear picture will emerge only after the autopsy report and forensic investigation are completed. So far, there has been no official confirmation regarding whether this was a suicide or another matter.
