Bokaro, March 22: A shocking incident unfolded in Bokaro district, Jharkhand, where the body of a 25-year-old man was discovered hanging from a tree near Ramdih Mor on Sunday. The deceased has been identified as Dharmdev Gupta, a resident of Angwali, who lived in Bokaro Sector-8.
Local residents and former representatives have raised suspicions of foul play, suggesting that the young man may have been murdered and then hung to conceal the crime. According to reports, some locals spotted the body hanging from a tree by the pond. Upon receiving the information, police from the Harla station arrived at the scene and initiated an investigation.
Authorities also recovered a bag from the crime scene, which is currently being examined. Police are working to determine how the young man ended up there and what his last activities were. Former village head Sunder Lal Koyri, who arrived at the scene, expressed concerns about the suspicious nature of the case, hinting at the possibility of murder.
He noted that the area where the body was found is known to be a hotspot for anti-social activities, including gambling. This raises the possibility that the young man was killed during a dispute, and his body was hung from the tree to hide the evidence.
