Body of Missing Teen Found in Abandoned House in Purulia, Family Suspects Murder

Purulia, September 19 (Daily Kiran) : In a tragic incident in Purulia, West Bengal, the body of a 16-year-old girl was found in an abandoned house on Saturday morning. Her family suspects foul play, alleging that a local boy and his family may be involved in her murder. Reports indicate that the girl had been in a relationship with the boy.

The girl’s brother-in-law informed local media that she had been missing since Friday night. “We searched for her all night, but she was nowhere to be found. This morning, we discovered her deceased,” he said.

Family members claim that the girl had been visiting the boy’s home for tutoring but had recently stopped going. They expressed their belief that she was murdered and have appealed to the government for justice.

Authorities discovered the girl’s body inside a family-owned vacant house, with a scarf tightly wrapped around her neck. Officers from the Purulia Mufassil Police Station arrived at the scene and subsequently sent the body to Purulia Medical College and Hospital for an autopsy.

Police stated that the exact cause of death will be determined following the post-mortem report. An unnatural death case has been registered, and a senior officer from the Purulia district police confirmed that the body has been recovered and sent for examination. The family has filed a complaint, and investigations into their allegations are ongoing, though no arrests have been made as of yet.
