BJPs Victory in Nandigram and Rejingar By-elections Sparks Controversy Over Allegations of Vote Theft

Bhatarpada, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : BJP legislator Pawan Singh expressed his delight following the party’s victories in the Nandigram and Rejingar by-elections in West Bengal. He took a jab at the opposition’s allegations of vote theft, which he suggested were typical reactions to defeat.

Singh congratulated the party’s candidates, stating, “Both our candidates have won, and I extend my heartfelt congratulations to them. We will meet in the assembly soon to discuss our strategies moving forward. This victory sends a positive message to the people of Bengal, and we aim to work even harder for them.”

He emphasized that the current government is rectifying issues that previous administrations failed to address over their 34-year tenure. Singh assured that significant improvements would be seen within the next year and a half, leading to a more organized governance.

Regarding the opposition’s claims of vote rigging, Singh noted, “We anticipated this victory. After every loss, the opposition resorts to accusations of vote theft. It’s a clear reflection of their desperation.” He further questioned the integrity of the Trinamool Congress (TMC), asking rhetorically whether they also engaged in vote theft when they won.

Singh highlighted a recent campaign where minority community members expressed their desire to join the BJP, showcasing a shift in public sentiment. He remarked on the initial fears instilled by the TMC about the BJP’s governance, stating that the new government has demonstrated its commitment to serving all citizens in just a few months.
