ED Conducts Raids in Odisha and West Bengal Over SI Recruitment Paper Leak

The Enforcement Directorate is probing a paper leak in Odishas SI recruitment exams, conducting raids across multiple locations in Odisha and West Bengal.

Bhubaneswar, October 9 (Daily Kiran) : The Enforcement Directorate (ED) launched a series of raids on October 9, 2026, in connection with the leak of the Odisha Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment exam papers. The operation spanned ten locations in both Bhubaneswar, Odisha, and West Bengal.

This investigation stems from an FIR filed by the Odisha police in October 2025. On September 30, 2025, authorities intercepted three buses near Ichhapuram, a border town between Andhra Pradesh and Odisha, carrying 114 candidates. These individuals were allegedly involved in leaking the exam papers scheduled for October 5 and 6, 2025, in exchange for cash payments ranging from ₹1.5 million to ₹3 million.

The case was subsequently handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI). Allegations suggest that the exam papers were leaked by individuals associated with the organizations tasked with conducting the exam. These individuals reportedly contacted candidates, enticing them with promises of the exam papers in return for money, and took their original certificates as collateral.

During the raids, the ED is investigating the roles of various agencies and individuals linked to this scandal, including representatives from Silicon TechLab Private Limited and Panchsoft Technology Private Limited, along with their directors.

Additionally, on October 8, the ED seized assets worth ₹567.45 crore related to a collective investment scheme by Pearls Agrotech Corporation Limited (PACL) aimed at agricultural land development. This seizure occurred in Mumbai, Pune, and Raigad, Maharashtra, under the provisions of the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA), 2002.

The properties, which belong to companies such as Pratik Kumar, Ansh Pratik Kumar, Biming InfraDevelopers, Ganraj Properties, and Greenfield Estates Limited, have been valued at ₹567.45 crore in the current market.
