BJPs Parivartan Yatra Gains Momentum in West Bengal, Targets Mamata Government

Kolkata, March 7: The BJP’s ‘Parivartan Yatra’ is receiving a tremendous response from the public in West Bengal. Party leaders are accusing the Mamata government of corruption, misgovernance, and administrative failures.

During the Parivartan Yatra in the Midnapore division of West Midnapore district, BJP state president Samik Bhattacharya harshly criticized the Mamata government. He stated that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee had promised to eliminate the fear that arose during the CPI-M regime, yet the people of Bengal are once again living in an atmosphere of insecurity.

He alleged that corruption has reached such levels that money is being demanded for college recruitment. While unemployed youth are in dire need of jobs, the TMC government is talking about allowances instead of creating employment opportunities. The Trinamool Congress has become a tested and rejected political force.

Bhattacharya emphasized that the TMC came to power promising to restore democracy and eliminate fear from society, but instead, it has turned the state into an open market where fundamental rights are being trampled.

Referring to alleged discrepancies in the voter list, Bhattacharya mentioned cases during the verification process where there was barely a ten-year age difference between fathers and sons. He urged people to say no to the TMC and encouraged them to participate in the Brigade rally in Kolkata on March 14, where Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public meeting.

Meanwhile, in Phulbari, South Dinajpur district, Union Minister Sukanta Majumdar, along with MP Khagen Murmu and other party leaders and workers, participated in the Parivartan Yatra.

During this event, Majumdar stated that BJP workers are committed to ensuring the program’s success, even in the scorching heat. He remarked that if it were a TMC program, they would need biryani packets to maintain the crowd. He asserted that the BJP is dedicated to bringing real change by creating jobs, improving healthcare infrastructure, and safeguarding West Bengal from emerging demographic challenges.

In a program of the Parivartan Yatra in the Mongolkot assembly constituency of East Bardhaman district, Leader of the Opposition Suvendu Adhikari accused the TMC government of pushing West Bengal into decline through corruption and appeasement politics. He noted that the central government has provided over ₹10 lakh crore in economic assistance to West Bengal, significantly more than previous Congress governments.

BJP leaders claim that as the Yatra progresses through the districts and divisions of the state, public participation and support are increasing.
