New Delhi, October 7 (Daily Kiran) : BJP MP Jagdambika Pal has voiced strong opposition to the ongoing protests by members of the India Alliance, who are demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar. He accused the opposition of attempting to create a climate of chaos in the country.
In a recent interview, Pal condemned the frequent disruptions caused by opposition MPs under the pretext of the Special Intensive Review (SIR) issue. He pointed out that they even breached the All India Radio premises, which is considered a restricted zone. “This is not an appropriate venue for protests,” he stated.
Pal elaborated on the SIR process, explaining that it involves a thorough revision of the voter list. During this revision, names of deceased individuals are removed, while eligible voters are added. He noted that similar reviews have occurred 12 times under previous Congress governments.
According to Pal, the opposition lacks substantial issues to address, leading them to resort to violence and chaos. “There are no pressing matters for the public; they seek to instigate disorder instead of engaging with the BJP,” he remarked.
On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 25 years in public service, Pal expressed confidence that this period would be regarded as a golden era. He emphasized that Modi’s tenure as both Chief Minister and Prime Minister has significantly contributed to the nation.
BJP leader Sanjay Upadhyay also celebrated Modi’s milestone, recalling his oath as Chief Minister of Gujarat 25 years ago. He commended Modi for his dedication to serving the public and expressed hopes for his continued health and longevity. Upadhyay affirmed Modi’s commitment to transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.
