BJP Unveils Second List of Candidates for Kerala Elections 2026

Thiruvananthapuram, March 19: Political activity is intensifying in Kerala ahead of the assembly elections scheduled for April 9. In a significant development, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its second list of candidates on Thursday. This decision was made during a meeting of the party’s central election committee, chaired by Nitin Naveen.

The crucial meeting took place at the party headquarters in New Delhi, attended by several senior leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, and Home Minister Amit Shah.

The second list features a total of 39 candidates. Notable nominations include Ashwini M.L. from Kasaragod, A.V. Sanil Kumar from Kaliyasseri, and N. Haridas from Taliparamba. K. Ranjit from Dharmadam and O. Nidhish from Thalassery have also been given tickets. Advocate Shijilal from Kuthupuramba and Biju Elakkuzhi from Mattanur are set to contest as well.

Other candidates include Prashant Malavayal from Kalpetta, P. Subrahmanian from Kondotty, and Advocate N. Sriprakash from Eranad. Padmashri M. from Manjeri, K.P. Baburaj from Perinthalmanna, and Lizoy Paul from Mankada have also received nominations.

Ashwathi Gupta Kumar from Malappuram and Jayakrishnan V.N. from Vengara are among the candidates. M. Preman Master from Vellikunnu and Riju C. Raghav from Tirurangadi will also run for election.

Deepa Pujakkal from Tanur, K. Narayanan Master from Tirur, and V. Unnikrishnan Master from Thavanur have been nominated. Ravi Theleth from Thrithala and Advocate P. Manoj from Pattambi are also on the list. In the reserved SC seats, Renu Suresh from Kongad and Suresh Babu from Tarur have received tickets. Pranesh Rajendran from Chittoor and K.V. Prasanna Kumar from Alathur will also compete.

Advocate B. Gopalakrishnan from Guruvayur, T.S. Ullas Babu from Vadakkanchery, and Bijoy Thomas from Ollur are among the candidates. C.C. Mukundan from Nattika (SC) and A. Nagesh from Pudukkad have also been nominated.

Candidates from Aluva include M.A. Brahmaraj, Vatsala Prasanna Kumar from Paravur, and P.R. Shivshankar from Ernakulam. B. Radhakrishnan Menon from Changanassery and M.J. Job from Alappuzha are also set to contest.

Kummanam Rajasekharan from Aranmula, Dr. Robin Radhakrishnan from Kundara, and Dr. N. Pratap Kumar from Kollam have also received tickets.
