New Delhi, September 20 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has gained an early advantage in the local body elections in Rajasthan, according to Union Environment Minister Bhupender Yadav. Speaking in New Delhi, Yadav stated that the party has maintained its lead from the outset, attributing this performance to the development initiatives of the Bhajanlal Sharma government.
Yadav remarked, “In the Rajasthan municipal body, municipal corporation, and council elections, the BJP has consistently held a lead. The Congress has spread numerous misconceptions, falsehoods, and misinformation. Initial trends indicate that BJP candidates have been elected unopposed in 30 local bodies, a number that was not even a third during the Congress government.”
He emphasized that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guidance, Rajasthan has experienced rapid development over the past two and a half years. Opportunities for investment have increased, long-standing water-related issues between states have been resolved swiftly, law and order has improved, and job opportunities for youth have expanded.
Yadav noted, “A long-stalled refinery project has been revived. These factors have led the public to grant the BJP unprecedented success in the early stages of the local body elections. In Deeg and Bharatpur, the BJP has won unopposed in 90 percent of the local areas. You will also see unopposed victories in several municipalities in Alwar.”
He praised Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma and state president Madan Rathore for their dedicated efforts. “It is clear that Chief Minister Bhajanlal and the entire team have worked hard at the grassroots level. This election demonstrates that the double engine government is functioning effectively, and now, with a triple engine, we will accelerate the pace of development in Rajasthan,” he added.
Targeting the Congress party, Yadav claimed there is chaos within their ranks. He stated, “The upcoming results will clearly show that there is complete disarray in the Congress camp. Their leaders are disheartened and troubled. A demoralized party cannot provide good leadership for local bodies. The BJP is poised for significant success in the remaining body elections as well.”
