Hyderabad, April 14: BJP leader TR Srinivas has responded to Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav’s comments regarding the violence involving workers in Noida. In an interview with a news agency on Tuesday, he stated that Yadav’s remarks raise several serious questions.
Srinivas emphasized that the inquiries Yadav made about intelligence in the context of the Noida violence primarily lead to one question: why did the violence occur? He suggested that the manner in which the violence unfolded indicates that people were incited as part of a premeditated conspiracy.
The BJP leader further questioned Yadav’s motives, asking, “What do you aim to achieve by questioning who is behind the Noida violence?” He urged Yadav to clarify why he is raising such questions now.
Srinivas also addressed concerns regarding the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in West Bengal. He referenced Union Home Minister Amit Shah’s comments, accusing the Trinamool Congress (TMC) of attacking constitutional institutions during its current tenure. He pointed out that the SIR aims to identify illegal residents in West Bengal, ensuring that they are denied voting rights, as illegal voters will no longer be tolerated in the state.
He remarked that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee has maintained her position through illegal activities and illegal voters, but such a situation will not be accepted any longer. He assured that the true picture of the state will emerge following the special intensive revision of the voter list in West Bengal.
