
New Delhi, September 4 (Daily Kiran) : Nitin Naveen, the national president of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), celebrated Janmashtami on September 4 by participating in prayers at the ISKCON Temple located in East of Kailash, New Delhi. His arrival at the temple was met with a warm welcome.
Accompanying him were notable figures such as Harsh Malhotra, the Delhi BJP president and Union Minister of State, along with Rajya Sabha member Tarun Chugh and Lok Sabha member Bansuri Swaraj, among others.
During the ceremony, Naveen highlighted the significance of Lord Krishna, stating that He is revered as the beloved deity of all. He noted that Krishna has always been a beacon of tradition and culture in India, dedicating His life to eradicating adharma and establishing dharma. Naveen expressed a hope that the blessings of Lord Krishna would continue to be with all Indians and the Hindu community.
He remarked, “On this auspicious occasion of Janmashtami, we gather in this sacred temple to pay our respects to Lord Krishna. We pray for peace and happiness in the lives of all citizens, and may India prosper as it did in the past, under the guidance of Lord Krishna.”
Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his greetings to all citizens on Janmashtami. In a post on social media platform X, he shared, “Wishing everyone a joyful Janmashtami. The divine messages of Lord Krishna inspire selfless action, guiding humanity continually. May this holy occasion infuse positive energy and strength into everyone’s life. Jai Shri Krishna!”
