Ujjain, August 8: BJP MP Manoj Tiwari visited the world-renowned Mahakaleshwar Temple on Friday with his family. During the visit, he performed rituals and offered water abhishek, praying for the prosperity of the nation and the welfare of its citizens. After the darshan, he expressed his spiritual experience, stating that he felt immense joy due to the blessings of Mahakal and wished for the same for all devotees.
Tiwari remarked that visiting Ujjain, the city of Mahakal, was a source of great happiness for him. He stated, “It is a great joy to have had the darshan of Mahakal. Mahakal is famous for his bhasma, and we were fortunate enough to participate in that. We offered water, and everything felt divine. I am here with my family, and I pray that Mahakal’s blessings remain upon our country, ensuring continuous progress and happiness for all citizens.”
He further added that all devotees who have faith in Lord Mahakal, whether they visit the temple or offer their respects from afar, should continue to receive his blessings. This, he emphasized, is his most significant prayer.
During the visit, Tiwari also addressed a controversial statement made by Maulana Sajid Rashidi regarding the Kanwar Yatra. He criticized such thinking as indicative of a demonic mindset, reminding that Mahadev had to vanquish many demons throughout history. “Those who question or make derogatory remarks about Kanwariyas belong to that same demonic nature,” he stated, affirming that Mahakal has the remedy for everyone.
Moreover, Tiwari called for respect among all religions and beliefs. He emphasized that the message of Lord Mahakal is not to insult anyone’s faith. Every individual has the right to follow their religion and practices, but disrespect towards others’ religious traditions, such as worship methods or the Kanwar Yatra, should not occur. He warned that using derogatory language against others’ beliefs weakens societal harmony.
