Deedwana: BJP MLA Bal Mukund Acharya, during his visit to Deedwana in Rajasthan, launched a sharp criticism against the Wakf Board, alleging that it had become a tool for land grabbing, comparing it to a form of ‘land jihad’.
He stated that just as ‘love jihad‘ is being discussed, a similar practice of ‘land jihad’ is underway. He claimed that lands were being unlawfully claimed by simply putting up green flags or cloths and declaring them as Wakf Board properties, thus illegally occupying those lands.
Bal Mukund Acharya challenged the Wakf Board to provide evidence if it had allocated plots to Muslim women or built dharamshalas, provided free housing, or constructed public facilities such as marriage halls, hostels, or schools. He accused the Board of forming small committees of five members who would seize land and later sell it for personal gain.
He further asserted that the Wakf Board had occupied countless lands across the country but had not contributed anything beyond land acquisition. He welcomed the new law which, according to him, now prevents any further illegal land grabs under any pretext.
Acharya also highlighted the government’s inclusive development approach, saying that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, both Ram and Rahim receive houses without discrimination. He pointed out the representation of people at ration shops and hospitals, emphasizing that benefits are reaching all communities fairly.
He criticized the Congress party for practicing appeasement politics in the past and stated that the current government is committed to ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas’ (Together with all, development for all).
