BJP Legislator Rameshwar Sharma Responds to Owaisis Remarks Amid UCC Debate

Bhopal, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : The verbal clash between AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi and BJP legislator Rameshwar Sharma intensified recently. This dispute erupted following Sharma’s controversial remarks about launching missiles at the Kazi Camp.

On September 15, during a protest against the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Bhopal, Owaisi criticized Sharma’s statement about targeting the Kazi Camp. He challenged Sharma to demonstrate his missile threat in person, making derogatory comments in the process.

In response, Sharma firmly addressed Owaisi, stating, “People like Owaisi come and go. But let me make it clear: Barrister, do you even know how to communicate properly?” He added, “The fear of India’s missiles is not only for the government in Islamabad or its terrorists but also for those who oppose our nation. They aim to create tension between Hindus and Muslims in India through such language. India will continue to take strict action against terrorism. The day is not far when ‘Vande Mataram’ will be sung in Islamabad, and the tricolor will fly there.”

Sharma also took aim at both Owaisi and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi regarding their stance on the UCC. He questioned, “What is your issue with the UCC? Do you want to seek votes from 80 percent Hindus in India? If you desire that, why not adopt the law that applies to 80 percent of Hindus? Why do you oppose it? Is that law bad? Is the law created by Babasaheb Ambedkar bad?”

He emphasized that Indian law protects the rights of all citizens. Sharma remarked, “There are rules under Indian law for marriage and property distribution. Hindu laws ensure your rights and entitlements. You are willing to plead for Hindu votes but refuse to accept Hindu laws.”

He concluded by asserting that Muslims in India are patriotic and will thwart extremist plots. “The Muslim who aspires to be like APJ Abdul Kalam, who wants to be a missile man, who embraces India’s culture and civilization, and remains loyal to the country, will ultimately reject the incitement of Islamic extremism and terrorism. One day, he will drive you out of India,” Sharma stated.
