BJP Criticizes Oppositions Protests as Political Propaganda
BJP leaders respond sharply to Congress protests, alleging attempts to undermine democracy for political gain.

New Delhi, October 17 (Daily Kiran) : BJP leaders in New Delhi expressed strong disapproval on Saturday regarding Congress’s protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar and the State Election Commission. They accused the opposition of orchestrating a large-scale propaganda effort aimed at undermining democracy and the Constitution for political interests.
BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal commented on the situation, stating that the opposition’s movement surrounding the State Election Commission lacks credible voter testimonials. “Not a single voter has come forward to claim they faced injustice or difficulties,” he said. Jaiswal highlighted that even a year after elections in Bihar, no individuals have emerged to voice grievances.
He further criticized the opposition’s narrative, suggesting they are attempting to attribute their electoral losses to alleged irregularities within the State Election Commission. “It’s amusing that Rahul Gandhi never reflects on why his party continues to lose,” Jaiswal remarked. He quipped that the next time Gandhi faces defeat, he might blame the blue sky and initiate protests against it.
BJP spokesperson Guru Prakash Paswan echoed these sentiments, asserting that a well-planned propaganda campaign is underway to sacrifice democracy and the Constitution for political gain. He emphasized, “We will not allow this to happen. This country is the world’s largest and most transparent democracy.”
Paswan also questioned the motives behind the actions of Rahul Gandhi and his team, asking, “What does ‘regime change’ mean? What does ‘resistance’ entail? Their sole aim seems to be returning to power by turning against their own people.”
He urged the opposition to seek a mandate through elections rather than attempting to manipulate political narratives. “With elections approaching in five states, they have even changed their party president. If they cannot maintain democracy within their own party, how can they be expected to uphold it in the country?” Paswan stated.
Referring to the situation in Uttar Pradesh, he noted, “Rahul Gandhi is currently facing an existential crisis. Although he has an alliance with the Samajwadi Party, the Congress Party’s standing has diminished significantly. No one is willing to accept the Congress anymore.”
