BJP Criticizes Congresss Planned Rally, Claims Opposition Misleading Voters

The BJP has sharply criticized Congresss upcoming rally, arguing that it misleads voters and disrupts public order during the festive season.

New Delhi, October 30 (Daily Kiran) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has voiced strong opposition to Congress’s proposed rally, asserting that the opposition is creating chaos and cannot win elections by misleading the public. BJP MP Yogendra Chandolia stated, “Everyone has the right to express their opinion in a democracy, whether they are from the opposition or not. However, certain considerations should be taken into account when making decisions.”

Chandolia emphasized the festive atmosphere in Delhi during Diwali, noting that many traders from across the country visit the city. He mentioned that traders have requested to reschedule the rally, but Rahul Gandhi remains steadfast in his plans.

He criticized Gandhi’s demands placed on traders as unreasonable, arguing that no one could accept them. “It is well-known that significant riots occurred on November 1 in the past, and setting a rally on this date is inappropriate. It could have been scheduled for November 2 or 12, which would be after Diwali,” he said.

BJP leader Ram Kadam condemned Gandhi’s actions, calling them disrespectful to constitutional institutions. He remarked, “These are the same people who claim to respect the Constitution while simultaneously exerting political pressure on the judiciary and the Election Commission.”

Kadam urged anyone with concerns or evidence to come forward. He noted that the deadline for submitting claims related to the electoral roll has been extended, allowing those whose names were omitted to voice their concerns.

Continuing his critique, Kadam accused Gandhi of lacking credible evidence or suggestions, stating, “You cannot win elections by misleading the public. Whenever they gather, they have to rely on money to draw a crowd. When the crowd fails to appear, their leaders claim that trains were stopped. The opposition should provide a single example of a train being halted; these are all fabricated and false allegations.”

Sanjay Jha, the national executive president of Janata Dal (United), commented on Congress’s rally, stating, “The country has witnessed the outcome of elections on ballot papers, showing the current state of Congress. The opposition is merely creating disorder. They are supported by those who want to seize power without elections.”

Jha added that the opposition is aware they cannot win the elections, which is why they resort to protests. He noted, “Elections in Bihar occurred only after the SIR. If the opposition wins, everything is fine, but when they lose, they claim foul play. The public continues to reflect the truth back to the opposition.”

BJP national spokesperson R.P. Singh remarked on the historical significance of November 1, referencing the riots of 1984. He expressed that Gandhi’s choice of date for the rally reignites old wounds among the Sikh community. Singh suggested that Gandhi should instead visit the widow colony worldwide and apologize for the mistakes of his father and grandmother.
