BJP Claims Two-Third Majority in West Bengal Assembly Elections: Jyotirmay Singh Mahato

Purulia, April 19: BJP MP Jyotirmay Singh Mahato has asserted that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will secure a two-thirds majority in the upcoming West Bengal Assembly elections.

In an interview with a news agency, Mahato described Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s election rally as historic, claiming it surpassed any previous rally held by other parties. He noted that the gathering in Purulia attracted millions of attendees. Mahato confidently stated that the BJP is poised to win all nine assembly seats in Purulia, predicting that the Trinamool Congress (TMC) will not secure a single seat.

He emphasized that the political climate in Bengal is favorable for the BJP, asserting that the party will form a government with a two-thirds majority this time.

Mahato referenced PM Modi’s address to the nation, questioning TMC leaders about their opposition to the Women’s Reservation Bill. He accused the INDIA alliance of obstructing the bill’s passage.

He added that they currently lack the necessary data, but once it is available, the bill will be passed.

Mahato criticized Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and her allies, claiming they only pretend to support women’s rights while actually seeking to subjugate them. He believes that the TMC will receive a strong response from women voters in this election.

He also targeted Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of making contradictory statements and using inappropriate language. Mahato stated that the public is watching and will respond accordingly, suggesting that Gandhi may struggle to remain in opposition in the future.

Furthermore, Mahato highlighted various scams in Bengal, promising that if the BJP comes to power, all scams will be investigated, and no one will be spared. He vowed that those involved will be prosecuted and sent to jail.
