Bihars Deputy CM Vows to Crack Down on Illegal Land Occupations

Munger, April 5: Bihar’s Deputy Chief Minister and Minister of Revenue and Land Reforms, Vijay Kumar Sinha, issued a stern warning on Saturday against illegal occupations of government land. He emphasized that no one will be spared, whether it involves government property or land belonging to the poor and marginalized.

Sinha stated that strict legal action is being ensured against those who create fake documents to mislead the system or attempt to seize land unlawfully.

During a public dialogue on land reforms held at the auditorium in Munger, he listened attentively to land-related issues and directed officials to provide swift and effective solutions.

He instructed officials to investigate all instances of illegal occupation of government land and ensure prompt action. Sinha noted that land disputes have historically affected numerous families in Bihar, often involving not just individuals but entire families, villages, and even generations.

He pointed out that senior legal experts in the country have acknowledged that a land dispute can lead to various other conflicts. Keeping this in mind, the NDA government’s commitment is to resolve land disputes effectively, moving beyond mere paperwork to tangible solutions.

The Deputy Chief Minister remarked that certain elements deliberately prolong disputes, but the government is dedicated to establishing a system where citizens do not have to wait years for justice. To date, this marks the tenth public dialogue across all divisions, with over 15,000 complaints received. All grievances are being registered digitally and monitored regularly to ensure justice for every victim.

He also instructed that immediate legal action be taken against those occupying land illegally. Sinha made it clear that the campaign for development will continue with a focus on public interest, transparency, and good governance.
