Patna, July 17: The Bihar Police have ramped up their efforts against individuals displaying weapons on social media and those involved in attacks on police personnel.

As part of a statewide initiative, the police headquarters has registered 102 FIRs related to online weapon displays from May 1 to July 14, 2026. A total of 130 suspects have been arrested, and 40 illegal weapons have been seized.

According to the Bihar Police headquarters, dedicated social media cells are operational in each district. Additionally, a state-level social media center and a cybercrime and security unit monitor online platforms around the clock.
