Patna, March 21: On Bihar Day, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar extended his greetings and best wishes to the people of Bihar and the nation.
In his message on Saturday, the Chief Minister emphasized Bihar’s glorious history and the commitment to building a bright future through determination. He expressed confidence that the people of Bihar would elevate the state’s pride by maintaining unity, brotherhood, social harmony, and goodwill.
CM Nitish Kumar called upon all residents of Bihar to fulfill the pledge of a prosperous Bihar. Bihar Day is celebrated annually on March 22, symbolizing the formation of the state. On March 22, 1912, the Bihar and Orissa provinces were created by separating the Bihar and Orissa divisions from the Bengal province in British India.
Various events are organized to mark Bihar Day. Under the theme “Developed Bihar, Bright Bihar,” numerous programs are being held. The Social Welfare Department has designated the Women and Child Development Corporation as the nodal agency for these activities.
The event at Gandhi Maidan will feature theme-based pavilions and stalls from various units under the Social Welfare Department to showcase their plans, achievements, and services. These stalls will provide the public with information about the state government’s various welfare schemes, services, and accomplishments.
Additionally, the pavilion will showcase traditional arts of the state, such as Lahthi and Sujani. There will also be ample space for displaying and marketing products from women entrepreneurs. A Livelihood Pavilion will be set up as well. From March 22 to 26, the Premchand Rangshala will host the “Women’s Theatre Festival,” dedicated to the creative power and struggles of half the population.
