Bihar Chief Minister Aims to End Labor Migration by 2030

Bihars Chief Minister sets a goal to eliminate labor migration by 2030, promising job creation and better opportunities for youth.

Patna, October 19 (Daily Kiran) : Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary announced a bold initiative on Monday, aiming to ensure that no resident of Bihar will have to migrate to other states for labor by 2030. During a football event in his home district of Munger, he emphasized the importance of creating sufficient job opportunities within the state.

Chaudhary expressed his commitment to realizing the vision of a “developed India” as outlined by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and the “prosperous Bihar” vision of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. He clarified that while he aims to provide local employment, there would be no restrictions on youth seeking better jobs or professional opportunities outside the state.

His remarks came during a visit to Kahuwa village in the Tarapur assembly constituency on the ninth day of Navratri. Chaudhary participated in the final match of an annual football tournament held at a field named after the constituency’s first legislator, Vasuki Rai. He presented trophies to the winning and runner-up teams, announcing plans to build a stadium in each block of the Tarapur constituency to promote sports and provide better facilities for young athletes. Construction is expected to begin within the next two months.

Highlighting educational advancements, Chaudhary noted that Bihar previously had only 272 colleges. However, on July 15, 2026, the state inaugurated 211 new degree colleges. Additionally, 700 “model schools-cum-Saraswati Vidya Niketan” have been established across Bihar, offering online classes to help students prepare for competitive exams. This initiative aims to provide rural students with access to expert guidance and improved study resources without leaving their localities.

According to locals, the football tournament in Kahuwa has been held annually since 1962.
