Chennai, September 11 (Daily Kiran) : South Indian actor Nikhil Siddharth’s highly anticipated pan-India film, ‘Swayambhu,’ has been generating buzz for quite some time. The film promises to deliver an engaging story and impressive action sequences. In celebration of actress Sanjukta’s birthday, the filmmakers released a special behind-the-scenes (BTS) video, offering a glimpse into her role in the film.
In ‘Swayambhu,’ Sanjukta portrays the character ‘Bhumi.’ To bring this powerful role to life, she underwent rigorous training, preparing for challenging action sequences and stunts.
Directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, this period film features Sanjukta as one of the two female leads. On her birthday, the production house, Pixel Studios, took to Instagram to wish her well and share the BTS video. The footage showcases Sanjukta training for her action scenes and mastering difficult stunts. The filmmakers noted, “From continuous training to becoming the fearless ‘Bhumi,’ Sanjukta has infused her courage, strength, and passion into this grand cinematic universe. The release date will be announced soon.”
Bharat Krishnamachari previously discussed a particular scene, highlighting Sanjukta’s bravery. She performed a risky stunt, climbing a mountain using only a harness above a flowing river. This scene was shot on location in Mardamalli, Andhra Pradesh, where the steep incline added to the complexity of the task.
The director explained the challenges of the shooting location, stating that if Sanjukta encountered any difficulties, it would not have been easy for the crew to assist her immediately. Nevertheless, she executed the scene with complete confidence. Credit for the successful execution of the stunt goes to stunt choreographer Joshua Master and his team, who meticulously planned the entire sequence.
The filmmakers announced last November that the shooting for the film had wrapped up. Over a two-year journey, the team dedicated 170 days to filming. Currently, preparations for post-production and the film’s release are underway, with an announcement regarding the release date expected soon.
