Bangladeshs Focus on Green Technology: The Future of the World, Says Hafizur Rahman

Dhaka, March 7: Hafizur Rahman Khan, Chairman of Runner Group of Companies, emphasized the growing trend towards electric vehicles and green technology during a recent discussion. He stated that this shift is essential for the future market. Consumers are becoming increasingly aware of carbon emissions and their environmental impact.

Khan explained that the pricing of these vehicles varies based on several factors. As a result, the company offers different models at various price points, catering to customer preferences. Some customers prioritize affordability, while others seek premium options. He highlighted that Runner Group manufactures two-wheeled and three-wheeled vehicles and assembles commercial vehicles and BYD cars. The company is gradually integrating new technologies across all sectors.

India is rapidly advancing towards electric vehicles (EVs) and green technology. By March 2026, this revolution is expected to gain significant momentum. The Indian government aims for 30% of total new vehicle sales to be electric by 2030, and progress appears promising. On February 25, Union Minister for Heavy Industries and Public Enterprises H.D. Kumaraswamy stated that with clear policy guidelines and strong industry participation, India could establish itself as a leading global hub for electric mobility manufacturing and innovation.

The global shift towards electric vehicles (EVs) represents a significant transformation linked to environmental, economic, technological, and policy changes. By March 2026, there has been a surge in global EV adoption, although some regions, like the United States, are experiencing slight slowdowns.
