Ayodhya, July 11: Saints from Ayodhya have expressed their support for Nrupendra Mishra, the chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee. Mishra recently stated that the incident concerning the Ram Temple is deeply regrettable and has caused embarrassment. He emphasized the need for systemic reforms to prevent such occurrences in the future.
Mahant Sitaram Das from Saket Bhawan spoke to a news agency, affirming their backing for Mishra’s statement. He noted that everyone feels ashamed regarding the donation issue and stressed the importance of ensuring that similar incidents do not happen again. The public still holds strong faith in the Ram Temple, which needs to be preserved to maintain ongoing visits.
Das acknowledged the ongoing actions by the Special Investigation Team (SIT) as appropriate, indicating that further revelations may emerge soon. He expressed satisfaction with the SIT’s work and confirmed that action has been taken against those involved.
Pandit Kalki Ram, president of the Ramadal Trust, also endorsed Mishra’s comments, stating that Mishra is well-informed and trustworthy, which is why they support him. The entire construction is under his supervision.
He added that those involved in the donation controversy have brought shame not only upon themselves but also upon their families, a stigma that cannot be erased throughout their lives.
Mayor Girish Pathi Tripathi commented on the donation issue, saying, “This is an internal matter of the trust. Whatever decision the trust makes will be appropriate, as it comprises many respected and responsible individuals.”
He reiterated that the unfortunate events should not have occurred. However, he praised the Chief Minister for promptly establishing the SIT and for the police investigation, which has instilled confidence in the local populace. The Chief Minister assured that the truth will be revealed and that justice will be served, a promise that the people of Ayodhya trust wholeheartedly.
