Ayodhya Ram Temple Construction Nears Completion, Key Decisions Expected in Trust Meeting

New Delhi, March 21: A significant meeting of the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust is scheduled for Saturday in Ayodhya. This gathering is expected to finalize several crucial decisions regarding temple operations and visitor arrangements.

Ahead of the meeting, Nrupendra Mishra, the chairman of the Ram Temple Construction Committee, shared updates on the grand project’s progress, stating that construction is now in its final phase. The total expenditure on the temple complex is estimated to be around ₹1,800 crores, reflecting the scale and ambition of this development.

One of the key issues on the agenda is the arrangement for darshan at the seven auxiliary temples located within the complex. This includes the Saptarishi Temple, situated along the circumambulation path, which is expected to open for devotees after the upcoming Ram Navami celebrations.

The Trust is also anticipated to make decisions regarding the organization of religious ceremonies and events in the future. Sources indicate that large-scale events may not be feasible within the temple complex, with a focus shifting towards simpler and traditional rituals. To maintain spiritual sanctity, the flag-hoisting ceremonies at all seven temples are likely to be conducted in a restrained manner.

These developments come shortly after President Droupadi Murmu visited the temple earlier this week, participating in Vedic rituals and reviewing the progress of ongoing works.

On Thursday, President Murmu installed the ‘Shri Ram Yantra’ at the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Temple and prayed amidst Vedic chants, marking a significant milestone in the temple’s construction.

With the project nearing completion and key operational decisions pending, today’s Trust meeting is expected to play a vital role in shaping the next phase of the Ram Temple’s operations and management.
