Mumbai, March 28: Ayaneo has announced an update regarding its handheld gaming lineup, and the news is not favorable for consumers. The company will soon raise prices on several models, while some others may be discontinued once current stock is depleted. Like many companies in the tech industry, Ayaneo is grappling with escalating memory and storage costs, which is beginning to impact its offerings.
In a recent post on its Discord server, Ayaneo detailed the situation affecting multiple devices. Some of these models are relatively new, making the timing of the changes particularly surprising.
The Pocket Vert, for instance, is already experiencing low stock levels and will not be restocked after it sells out. Similarly, the Pocket S Mini, which launched earlier this year, has halted production. Once the remaining units are sold, they will not be available again. Additionally, Ayaneo confirmed that the complimentary Pocket Air Mini units, offered as compensation for the smaller battery, will no longer be available after April 1, 2026.
There is also limited news regarding the Pocket DS. Approximately 200 units are available for pre-order, with shipping expected in mid-April. However, Ayaneo has not committed to additional batches, suggesting that availability may be short-lived.
The situation is mixed for the Konkr brand. The Pocket Fit Gen 3 and Pocket Fit 8 Elite are still available, but with some modifications. The Snapdragon 8 Elite version, which faced delays, is finally shipping. Once current orders are fulfilled, Ayaneo plans to relaunch it in phases. However, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 variant has already been removed from the official store.
The Konkr Fit, the first Windows-based model in this lineup, is still open for pre-orders. Initially intended as a limited run, Ayaneo now states that production will depend on demand.
As of now, there is no clear indication of how much prices will rise or if other models will be affected. Given the overall increase in DRAM and storage costs, it is likely that further changes will follow.
