Awareness Campaign Launched Ahead of CWG 2030 with Exciting Online Competitions

New Delhi, May 12: In anticipation of the Commonwealth Games (CWG) 2030, set to take place in Ahmedabad, the Sports Authority of India (SAI) has partnered with My Bharat to launch three nationwide awareness campaigns. These initiatives aim to promote sportsmanship, creativity, and youth participation across the country. Participants can engage in the ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Torch Design Competition’, ‘CWG Reel Challenge’, and ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz’.

All three campaigns are completely free and are designed to encourage greater involvement in India’s sports movement, particularly among the youth. Additionally, these initiatives will foster creativity, national pride, and collective enthusiasm for the successful hosting of the CWG 2030.

In the ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Torch Design Competition’, citizens are invited to create a torch design inspired by India’s culture, heritage, innovation, sustainability, and excellence in sports. Designs can be submitted digitally or hand-drawn, and participants may also include a concept note of up to 200 words. This competition runs from May 11 to May 20, with each participant allowed to submit only one design. Selected winners will receive ‘Fit India’ hampers and certificates of appreciation, while all eligible participants will receive digital participation certificates.

The ‘CWG Reel Challenge’ encourages participants to create original reels showcasing India’s emerging sports culture, local sports infrastructure, fitness, and enthusiasm for hosting CWG 2030. Participants are encouraged to include messages supporting India’s preparations for the Commonwealth Games 2030 and wishing success for the Indian team at CWG 2026. Reels should not exceed 60 seconds in duration and the challenge runs from May 7 to May 16. Each participant can submit only one reel, with the top five creators receiving ‘Fit India’ hampers from SAI.

The ‘Commonwealth Games 2030 Quiz’ celebrates India’s sports heritage and aims to raise awareness about the country’s achievements in the Commonwealth Games. The quiz consists of 10 multiple-choice questions that must be completed within five minutes. Participants need to score at least 8 points to pass, with only one attempt allowed per participant. This quiz will be open from May 9, 2026, to September 26, 2026, and the top five winners will be announced weekly. Participation certificates will also be awarded.
