Guwahati, August 25: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma announced on Tuesday that the state government is embracing a ‘Community First’ approach under the Developed India-Gi Ram Ji initiative. This strategy focuses on enhancing livelihoods, connectivity, and public infrastructure in villages.
In a post on the social media platform X, CM Sarma emphasized that the vision for a developed Assam can only be realized through active participation from the grassroots level. He stated, “Under the Developed India-Gi Ram Ji initiative, Assam is adopting a ‘Community First’ approach. We will provide better livelihoods, improved connectivity, and enhanced public spaces and facilities for every village.”
He highlighted that the construction of a ‘Developed Assam’ will rely on community participation and the efforts of the people in the villages.
These remarks come at a time when the state government is working to strengthen rural infrastructure and improve access to basic amenities, while also creating more livelihood opportunities for residents.
