Ashok Chaudhary Praises Nitish Kumars Political Legacy and Vision

Patna, August 23: Bihar government minister Ashok Chaudhary openly discussed the political legacy of former Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, the role of his son Nishant Kumar, women’s rights, and the ongoing political discourse surrounding the Vande Mataram controversy. He also responded to comments made by Upendra Kushwaha.

In a conversation, Minister Chaudhary stated, “Just as we regard Nishant Kumar as a leader in our homes, he has now been officially recognized. There is no room for anyone else in the party. Upendra Kushwaha had ample time and opportunities to join us, but now there is no space left.”

Regarding RLM MP Upendra Kushwaha, he remarked, “He has been with us since the Samata Party days. It’s not that Nitish Kumar did not provide him opportunities. In his first term, Nitish Kumar appointed him as the leader of the opposition and entrusted him with significant responsibilities. If he had stayed in the party, things could have been different, but he left not once, but twice to form separate parties. Now, it is Nishant Kumar who will carry forward Nitish Kumar’s legacy.”

Chaudhary emphasized, “Nitish Kumar’s model has become a brand that everyone wants to follow. From environmental scientists to prominent leaders worldwide, they have listened to Nitish Kumar regarding the Jal-Jeevan-Hariyali scheme. Delegates from seven countries visited Bihar to understand his clothing and bicycle initiatives. Nitish Kumar’s model is a successful one, and anyone seeking success will follow it.”

On Rahul Gandhi‘s statement about equal rights for women, he said, “Absolutely, they should have equal rights, but Nitish Kumar has been working on this for a long time. Bihar has the highest number of women in the police force. He has provided reservations for women in the Panchayati Raj system and in government jobs. Nitish Kumar is the brand ambassador for women’s empowerment.”

When asked about renaming Patna to Pataliputra, he commented, “It’s not a bad idea. We should honor our heritage.”

Regarding the Congress Working Committee’s decision to sing two verses of Vande Mataram, he stated, “Political parties cannot dictate how many verses of Vande Mataram should be sung. The nation does not operate that way. The national song was established long ago, and it should be sung in its entirety wherever it has been traditionally performed. When Congress comes to power, they can do as they wish, but for now, the BJP has the right to govern, and Narendra Modi is the Prime Minister. They are doing what they deem appropriate.”
