Mumbai, July 2: Bollywood actor Arshad Warsi is well-known for his simplicity and lively demeanor. Recently, he shared his experiences regarding the changing work culture in Bollywood and explained the differences between old and new actors. He noted that his approach on set has always been straightforward and focused, while the new generation has a slightly different perspective.
In an interview, when asked about the evolving work culture in Bollywood, Warsi recounted an incident from a film shoot where he had to perform multiple stunts. He completed all his scenes without taking many breaks, keeping his attention solely on the work at hand. For him, work meant continuous performance and being present on set.
He shared, “The director was quite impressed with my work and praised me. During our conversation, he humorously mentioned the new actors, saying that they tend to take breaks after just a few steps or a little work.”
Warsi emphasized that while there is a difference between old and new actors, it shouldn’t be viewed as right or wrong. Each generation of artists works according to their circumstances and needs. The shooting environment was different in the past, whereas today, technology, pressure, and work standards have significantly changed.
He added, “Today’s new actors face a lot of pressure. Much is at stake in their careers, so they pay more attention to their bodies and fitness. This caution helps them stay in the industry longer. In contrast, older actors came from a simpler, more consistent work environment where the idea of taking breaks wasn’t as prevalent.”
On the work front, Arshad Warsi will soon be seen in the film ‘Dhamal 4’. This fourth installment of the comedy franchise is directed by Indra Kumar.
