New Delhi, May 31: BJP spokesperson Ajay Alok responded to the recent attack on TMC MP Abhishek Banerjee, stating that violence has no place in democracy. He mentioned, “The police have arrested five individuals, and the investigation is ongoing. However, names associated with TMC are emerging, including a former TMC MLA.”
Alok also targeted Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, saying, “Forty days ago, BJP worker Debdeep Chatterjee was murdered. It is alleged that TMC workers were involved. Rahul Gandhi may not remember this, but TMC does.”
Regarding the implementation of the Uniform Civil Code (UCC), Alok stated that it should be introduced gradually across all states. He emphasized its necessity for the country, saying, “We are implementing the UCC accordingly, and people are gradually accepting it, which is a positive development.”
On the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi completing 12 years in office, Ajay Alok described this period as a ‘golden era.’ He remarked, “This marks 12 years as Prime Minister and 11 years as Chief Minister, totaling 25 years dedicated to serving the nation.”
Haryana BJP President Dr. Archana Gupta commented on Modi’s tenure, stating, “Since Narendra Modi was first elected in 2014, development has rapidly progressed across India. This growth is evident in every sector, whether it’s the adoption of indigenous products or achieving self-reliance in various fields.”
Dr. Gupta further noted, “Despite years of Congress rule, basic facilities like toilets and clean drinking water were not provided to women. In contrast, under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership, these fundamental needs have been addressed, including the registration of property in women’s names. He has provided homes for 4 crore women, ensured access to clean cooking fuel, and distributed 5 kg of free grain to 80 crore people.”
